Burton Snowboards has teamed up with iconic music lifestyle brand Marley & Co. to create an all new, limited edition snowboard, available starting this month. Called the Whammy Bar Marley, the board is part of Burton’s Restricted collection, a special assortment of outerwear and hardgoods that can only be found at select authorized retailers.

This year again, we are giving you the chance to win your 2-day pass for the up-coming, European season opening, ultimate show : freestyle.ch! The event will take place at it’s usual Landiwiese spot in Zurich from September 23rd till 26th! You don’t want to miss the likes of Andreas Wiig, iPod, Marko Grilc, Mat Crepel, Seb Toutant, Peetu Piiroinen and more throwing huge tricks above the Zurich lake! Podladtchikov and his confirmed teammate Christian Haller already proved to have the right form in August at the Burton New Zealand Open, where Podladtchikov won the halfpipe event and Haller won the slopestyle. At freestyle.ch, the two strong Swiss competitors will have to prove themselves against the likes of Olympic silver medalist and TTR overall champion Peetu Piiroinen (FIN) and Air&Style winner Marko Grilc (SLO). While the top competitors in each discipline were spread out across the Friday and Saturday qualification rounds in previous years, this year’s new concentration on two days guarantees that all the best athletes will appear on Saturday. This will make Saturday’s competitions even more impressive and will give a hint of the spectacle awaiting visitors during Sunday’s finals. So don’t wait any longer and take part in our sweepstake to win your passes for this great event!
After all the hard work the boys put in to pulling together a killer-looking slopestyle course, it sucked that heavy snowfall meant this part of the contest had to be cancelled but the riders still got a chance to get it on at the night-time rail jam. When the dust had cleared it was 16-year-old Canadian Mark McMorris that the judges reckoned threw down the most consistent hammers on the 28-stair setup and so he stole the 2010 Stairmaster title from fellow Canuk and riding buddy Seb Toutant.
