It’s slowly getting this time of the year again, when your mind can’t focus on anything else than snowboard pictures, you are constantly checking the webcams for the first white patches covering the mountains, and your legs are starting to get impatient.
For some of you, it might be the time also to break the piggy bank and spend all the cash earned during the summer on the perfect board!
But yeah, finding that perfect board is not such an easy thing anymore: there are lots of brands with lots of cool decks…

Enters snowDB.com from Russia! Serguey and his pal have just come up with a very slick - with a nice web 2.0 design - website which they have dubbed as the ultimate global snowboard search resource.
In other words, they put all boards in one nice place and added extended search capabilities to help you out!

The Bros have 12 collections you can breeze through and are in the process of adding even more.
Along the classic research parameters -like weight, size, etc - there is also a functionality to search by graphics for those more hooked on style than on performance
snowDB counts on user generated content to improve their database by allowing users to tag colors, textures, objects used in the graphics and associations inspired by the graphics.
Another good point also is that the site will lead you to stores near you selling the board you have selected.

The site is still in beta for now but already looks pretty damn good. And the guys are planning some cool new features like board comparisons by any parameters or charts of snowboards based on ratings and comments added by users from around the world!
