SNOWBOARDER Magazine’s Best of Test Snowboard Review is not about finding the best snowboard as chosen by expert testers on limited terrain in predictable conditions during a short time period. It’s all about the largest on-snow retailer demos.

On-snow demos are the perfect venue for compiling pertinent information, as shop staffers from across the country have the chance to ride next year’s boards like they stole ’em before they try to get you to buy ’em. Hardpack, pow, moguls, boxes, banks, cliffs, corduroy, quarterpipes, halfpipes, steeps, cat tracks, glades, loose granular—you name it, they rode it. Mammoth Mountain, CA, Stratton, VT, Mission Ridge, WA, Boyne Mountain, MI, Snowbasin, UT, and Keystone, CO played host to their on-hill investigation as Snowboarder queried more than a hundred riders to find their picks from literally thousands of demoed models.

Top three men’s ride

#1 Ride Machete

#2 Rossignol Agnus

#3 K2 Slayblade

Number one women’s ride

#1 K2 Eco-Pop

Not same choice as TWS Good Wood 2010, but similar if we overlook the succession…
