It’s Xmas time and the Isenseven crew received a nice gift from jolly old Nitro Claus:  a super exclusive Nitro T1 IsenSeven pro model snowboard! But this gift can also be yours of course. An Isenseven snowboard. Probably only the most awesome thing ever. Ever. Your new shredstick comes in the sizes 153 and 156 and has all the features of the regular Nitro T1 board. The board was designed by Isenseven, for you and features flashy colors, Snowboardfranz, clouds, paintsplats, snappy slogans and all kinds of other cool wingdings.
As we speak, the boards are being produced and will be available in February. You can come to the ISPO in Munich from February 1st till 4th and check out the board at the Nitro and the Pleasure booth. Having Snowboardfranz on board will change the way you ride forever! ;)

This week-end we will be doing it @ Mondial du Snowboard in Les 2 alpes. Donno how we are going to manage everything as we are organising a Punk Rock concert on friday (come check it out!), will have a booth under the “chapiteau” next to the Jandri (come for a beer!), will be wasted on booze and still want to test decks and ride on the glacier as the conditions for this week-end look pretty powpowpowish!

Anyway since we are going to be up there we might as well do something useful for you!
You guys are probably going through all the catalogs, surfing the web for info etc on the deck you dream of buying to shred this winter. Well, like with a car, before buying, it’s always better to test ride it! If you don’t have a chance to go to one of these board test events this fall, we can do it for you!
Leave a comment and tell us which board you want us to test, and we will do that for you! Not only will we ride it, we will also try to get inputs from pro-riders and staff to help you make the right choice!

Click here to see which brands will be represented and just go ahead: specify brand, board name, board size in a comment, sit tight and wait.

The Bros at Union are up for collabs! Maybe you remember those siiick Airblaster ones last year. Well this year they are back for more double plus good with limited edition bindings for KFC - again - but also the Italians from Iuter, the french homies from Advita and guess what even Onboardmag got their LTDs. Jeeeee. I shouldn’t have told you, now you’re gonna win them instead of me.
Anyway you are gonna have to be a warrior to grab one of these pairs in shops as the distribution will be quite…limited. I’m not sure but FX from Advita told me 200 pairs in the shops for the Advita ones. But hey it’s worth a damn coz Union custom house = personality + performance.
Check out the pics of these top models below.

Jim from Pulp68 and Virge from DC Switzerland organised a cool laid-back event in Jim’s shop yesterday here in Geneva. The idea was to showcase all the really dope DC products that will hit the shops this winter.
For some pieces DC collaborated with hot designers such as Peter Saville, known for redefining graphic art in his works for Factory Records or Stella McCartney. Peter signed a top of the line offering for DC featuring the Hazard print canvases (shown above), that you could wear from head to toes if you ride a limited edition HKD deck. He also took out of the drawer his 1979 Joy Division’s debut album Unknown Pleasures design. The pattern is an abstract rendering of the first pulsar diagram discovered. DC dubbed it Contour and you could rock it head to toe as well.
Another impressive piece in the DC line is the Glow in the Park collection featured on the Servo jacket or Banshee pants for dudes and Data jacket and Ace pants for chicas.

Anyway most of the pieces are quite expensive and will be hard to find in shops. So the idea behind this Premiere was to showcase them AND have a good time! Jim & DC offered drinks and BBQ, and local riders such as Vince Page and the eroone crew, the Strecker bros, and more.
Thanks Jim & Virge. It’s was really a cool evening!
Take a look at the slideshow below and mouse-over for captions.

Mister Joni Makinen, head of marketing at Union Europe, just popped an email to let us know that the new Union Bindings website was online!
His advise to us: “Take a break from your boring daily routine and explore the all new UNION Binding Company website.”

You should do that to! Not only does the website rocks but the bindings - that we showed you a few months back with Danny Kass - do as well!

Seb from Aaven just sent us some pics of the new Aaven board line for next season.
Along the Fisherman 156 and Friend 159, they added a new 153 twin tip mega freestyle deck!

The Aaven crew is true to their board graphics. With a base common to all decks come really nice illustrations using the board as canvas.
Next year it’s all about fishing on mountain lakes! Check it out!

vzskull.jpgVon Zipper will introduce three different goggles in co-branding with Skullcandy for next season!
Looking good & feeling good, it’s what they are all about at VonZipper. So they came up with three awesome goggles to make us feel the same way. The three models will be the Dojo Skullcandy Ribbons & Gold, the Chakra Skullcandy Intersection, and the Feenom Skullcandy Replicator.
So, next winter you will be able to listen to your favorite music, riding the most technical goggle with the best style!

We are wrapping it up with our ISPO[battles]. Maybe a few more to go but that’s about it.
Today it’s Salomon versus Sapient. Don’t ask us why we choose to oppose these 2 brands, we can’t even remember.
Ah yeah, maybe coz both brands have really ultra gnar boards graphics, and that their booths where exploding with colors.
At Salomon we really were impressed by the base graphics with extensive use of die-cut. Along the Relay bindings, the Arnie 501 are really dope with their Levi’s jean feeling. Salomon was also awarded for their new Sick stick board concept based on an entirely re-usable bamboo core.
On Sapient’s side, it’s all about board graphics and and improved offer of bindings and boots so that you can rip it up and look good.
Enjoy the pics!

ICON Snowboards - or Immortal Cowboys Of North - was officialy founded in Helsinki, Finland in the year 2000. The main idea behind Icon was to form a truly rider driven snowboard brand from Finland. Through the years Finnish riders have been known worldwide for their incredible high level of riding skills and still today many of the best riders in the world are owning a finnish passport. ICON Snowboards was founded to reflect everything that Finnish snowboarding stands for: high performance, quality and style.

In times where big sport supermarkets paralize evolution with their housebrands, while copying what the riders on the very front have created, where profit driven mass market suppliers send only graphic files to huge factories to flood the market with low price clones made in the same open moulds dozens of other brands in that league are using, Amplid, as a truly rider owned brand, stands up in the face of this sell out and fights by shouting our main ethos: create the best performing product from the best materials.

Two independent, rider-driven, snowboard brands for this new ISPO[Battle].
Check the pictures and pick you winner. For us both are dope!
