If you scroll down a few posts you’ll end up on our previous BrOADER[tech] post focusing on the Park Pickle, a twin asymmetrical deck introduced by GNU in limited edition for this season. We also featured the totally experimental TRICE Banana HAMMOCK - a powder specific deck rocking reverse camber and “no sidecut” tech! This week we hit you with a new concept which originates from the South of France: Furlan boards!

Furlan boards are 178cm decks that mix freestyle feeling with freeride habilities. How? Good question when you see such a monster deck! Read our product review below.

People listen to me: that’s what time it is! Time to shred some fresh pow pow pow! :)
Here is a short footage from last sunday as 70 cm of freshy fell in my garden. We took the opportunity to try out the GoPro HERO Helmet cam that we got from PH from Action Cameras (thanks BrO!)
This helmet cam is really a cool deal: it’s easy to use, it’s light, it’s not too expensive and it has a wide angle that makes incredible images! The wide angle really makes a big difference compared to other helmet cams that you fix on your goggle strap for example, and are never really sure what you are filming.
The HERO works with a standard 2GB SD card that you insert in the device. The camera is trapped in a small box that keeps it protected from humidity, so there is no risk to damage it even if you fall in a meter of pow.
There are many ways to wear the camera but the simple headband - as pictured above - works great, at least for powder runs, you’ll probably need to tighten it hard for park shredding but I’ m positive it will go as well (update: here is a video from Mathieu Crepel riding booters with it. no problemo.). All in all I think this helmet cam is a great deal for filming all your action sports adventures. Because if it works for snowboarding, it will also work for downhill bike, wakeboarding, freebording and so on.
If you want to purchase a GoPro HERO for Xmas, take advantage of the nice deal offered by our bros at Action Cameras right now: you get free delivery and free batteries.
Plus if you enter SNOWBROADER in a special field you will get a free 2 GB SD card with you order.
Click below for our little pow pow pow edit - just to make you guys jealous! - and for the exact instructions to benefit from the snowbroader deal.

As you know, the weather conditions during the Mondial du Snowboard, early November, were pretty fucked up, not allowing us to test all the boards that you had asked us to.
So to make up for it, we went around and hunted down some pros and reps to get a focus on some hot products from their product range.
First on the line is our Bro Tim Humphreys. Tim made a special 3 days trip to Europe to come in les 2 Alpes and take part in the contest that was supposed to be the highlight of the week-end. Sadly the contest couldn’t happen so Tim had lost of time to waste for interviews, autograph sessions and so on! We asked Tim to tell us more about the board and bindings he rides and why this set up was allowing him to push it and stomp the craziest tricks. So here is Tim talking about the FLOW ERA deck and FLITE bindings.

A lot of brands have embraced the protection of the environment but it seems that some are more into it for the marketing aspects than for the real protection of our playgrounds. A brand that comes with an innovating product that takes the environmental issue seriously is Magic Potion.
You have probably heard already of this new eco-friendly wax. At the Mondial du Snowboard we met with Didier David, the founder of Magic Potion. He told us more about his products, why they are no hurting mother nature, and how to use them to make the most out of them when shredding!
Check it out on video!
