Hey guys, check out this cool podcast prepared by the ERO ONE crew to cover the Kastle Battle which took place in Sion, Switzerland two weeks ago.
Chris Cunningham and Vince Pages brought all their bros together - Maiko Nicolet, Joel Strecker, Florent Marot - to go fest and battle it out on the perfect rail set-up.
The theme of the Kastle Battle was all medieval. It started on the friday evening with some video projections. Guess which ones? What’s Poppin of course but also Waliser Dream by Lokal Prod.
On saturday the contest was on: 20 riders including the ones named above + the organising Evequoz bros + the creme de la creme of Swiss jibbing.
The contest format was a classical jam session in order to qualify for the finals which were held in the evening. All the guys battled it hard but at the end of the day, the over motivated Alex Evequoz won his event, Chris Cunningham and Fred couter completed the podium. Check it all out on film!
Thanks to Vince and Chris for the report.

WARNING: This post contains explicit adult material.
ERO ONE’s What’s Poppin’ and Snow World Productions’ HOMIES are two dope snowboard movies hailing from France and French speaking part of Switzerland. They both feature some of the sickest riders from this part of the world: Nico Droz and his crew Aymeric Tonin, Arthur Girault, Laurent Gougain, Paul Lambersens, Silvain Monney, Max Delayen and Caroline Béliard hooking up with friends such as Mikey LeBlanc and Trevor Andrew for HOMIES; Vince Pages, Florent Marot with confirmed to up-coming shredders such as L’arrogs, Joel Strecker , David Van Gessel, Chris Cunnigham, Pierre Rue and Mikko Nicolet to name a few.
Well from all the rumors and shit we heard around, it seems like it wasn’t always LOVE between these two crews.
For sure, each production was over motivated to come up with an ass-kicking video but supposedly motivation fueled stupid competition in some instances instead of positive energy. Which is a shame because all the French speaking scene should be stoked to have two crews capable of producing high level European snowboard movies.
So during ERO ONE’s Premiere in Geneva on friday, L’arrogs and FX from Advita got on to each others nerves and wanted to settle it: That’s a walk-off challenge, my friend. Ten minutes. Old Members Only warehouse. Old school rules.

But L’arrogs and FX are smart dudes. And as L’arrog - freshly promoted Bataleon European Team Manager by the way - likes to put it: “Fuck it! It’s only snowboarding!”. So the guys preferred to make PEACE and open mouth kissed each other.
Disgusting. Snowboarding is all about progression, for sure!

Yeah! So the Premiere of WHAT’S POPPIN’, ERO ONE Productions first ever snowboard movie went off yesterday evening in Geneva, Switzerland. The Box bar was completly loaded with friends, family and riders who were eager to see Vince Pages & Florent Marot’s project on the screens. Well I can certify that everybody was stoked about the movie and the whole ERO ONE crew had huge smiles after the projection!
What’s really cool with the video is that it has a real spirit. You can feel that this bunch of talented friends had a blast last season, tripping around and pushing themselves to nail some good tricks.
The graphic animations are sleek, and the beats really get you into it and give the movie lots of rythm.
Watching this fresh video, just made me wanna go ride with my Bros and that’s really what any snowboard flick should achieve! So big up ERO ONE for a first movie that promises a lot of future success! It’s cool to see how motivated these guys are.
What’s Poppin’ will be available in sNowsurf, the french snowboard mag and then should be available for download early 2009.
Here are some pics from the evening featuring most of ERO ONE’s crew!
