Travis Rice and Mike Parillo have launched an online art gallery called Asymbolgallery.com which offers iconic snow, surf and skate imagery, including limited edition paintings and photosthat will be available for people to order worldwide.
These images were shot during the 2008 O’Neill Evolution in Davos with a I-Movix Sprintcam v1 for the experts. It’s mainly shot at 1000 frames per second which gives a totally sick perspective to all the tricks in the pipe and the quarter. We liiiikey!
Despite the once again rather lousy metereological conditions, welshnight-edition 3.0 was one big success! Over 40 motivated riders gave a damn about the weather and made their way up to thyon snowpark and enjoyed a chilled out night-session on the various illuminated obstacles - chased by a bunch of photographers, all eager to take home the best-photo-award and win a ticket for the montreux jazz festival last evening sponsored by eleven.
The illuminated main obstacles consisted of a 15meter kicker, followed by a straight rail, an up-gap-down rail and of course the dj cabin, which was redesigned into a butter-platform and at the same time served as screen for some crazy vj-action.
Riders such joël strecker, darius heristchian, yvan mettrailler, radim cada, paul dreher, stefan pfister amongst many others pushed the level in snowboarding and freeski and created an international atmosphere.
The session ended with a great party at the underground club starring dj’s orange dub, g-bart, elroy and a all sorts of different drinks you can imagine.
Check some action pics and the video of the event below!
Why do events always need a specific date and a fixed location? Wouldn’t it be just cool if YOU could decide about the where and when?
This year, the Snowpark Rally ignores the laws of time and space and challenges you with various missions from mid December till the end of March. Every month of this winter, you will find a mission on www.snowparkrally.com which you have to complete with as much creativity as possible. Basically every snowboarder and freeskier can participate. Both disciplines will be judged separately.
Get your mission on www.snowparkrally.com, round up your friends, go to your favorite park and get creative with your cam. It doesn’t matter if you use a SLR or a simple digicam. More important is your idea and the execution of the given task! Afterwards you simply upload the pic onto our website. A jury of expert judges will choose the most creative ones, which can then be voted online.
Click below as Marc-André Tarte sends you on missions throughout the entire winter per video message. Read the rest of this entry »

The talented French photographer Vanessa Andrieux has a new website!
The page combines a blog with a nice photo gallery. Definitely worth checking out if you are into snowboard photography. Vanessa has been shooting for many years now and is making a strong name for herself on the scene. She won an Award at the French Snowboard Award ceremony this fall in Les 2 Alps as best photographer in front of two “dinosaurs”: Scalp and Vianney Tisseau. We are super stoked to have been collaborating with Vanessa in the past (check some portfolio pics and an itw) and look forward seeing more of her work on our pages this winter!
Christian Brecheis is the man. The young and talented photographer from Munich already has an impressive list of clients in his portfolio which makes it almost impossible that you have not seen some of his pics before. Christian has been shooting for many top brands and contributing to most if not all major snowboard publications in Europe, the USofA, and Japan. We are stoked that Christian has elected to have a PROblog on SnowBroader along his official website and photography blog.
If you are into snowboarding and photography, you just want to check Christian’s PROblog regularly and save it to your favorites. Christian is using his PROblog to share his adventures, trips, likes, and love of snowboarding photography. And he wants you to get involved as he is always opened to answer your questions on photography in order to discover more or improve your photo skills.
Beginning of April Christophe Weber, David Benedeck & co, stopped in the french resort of Les Cauterets to improve their flying skills! They’ve teamed up with HO5parks to built one of the most important orbital launch platform ever ridden. If your addicted to snowbroader.eu you’ve already watched the video report here, but here is some pretty nice pics as well!!
One of my favourite snowboard photographer, beer buddy and all-round nice guy, Peter “Fish” Fettich, send us some of his latest pics for our header section.
Full of slovene flavor, this selection features la creme de la creme of the slovene scene: Elan team riders Domen Bizjak and Matevz Pristavec, Big Air ruler Matevz Petek, and Burton’s Marko Grilc!
There’s plenty of snow falling on our European mountains right now and the end of season is epic!
So here are 3 nice powderish headers from Rutger Geerling, a dutch photographer who rightly prefers to come shoot powpow shots in Austria than rails shots in a fridge in the Netherlands
Enjoy our new headers and head to Fotograferen.net for more action from Rutger!
It’s time to refresh our header section with some new pics from our favorite photographer: Vanessa Andrieux!
After the super smooth pics from howzee from the Air & Style and BEO, it’s time for some kicker and jib action from Vaness featuring Caro Beliard bongin’ a Caterpillar, L’Arrog looking like he’s gonna get eaten by Sylvain Bourbous’, Aymeric Tonin rockin’ a chalet, Julien Bourguignon with a front 180 in the trees, Eman Robert showing the deck of his APO, and Mister Steph “mamare” Lochon skate style in Avoriaz!
Some sweet french flavors in this new header selection!
You’ve probably noticed that we’ve refreshed our header with some new Howzee.com’s pics. J.Laivisto, M.Smolla, N.Huber and M.Knobel are now taking part in our global design! Thanks BrOs!!
