The Pinard crew from Leysin, Switzerland, has been drinking hard and riding hard the whole winter!
Now they are ready to drop the teaser of their up-coming video upon us : “Pinard c’est des tocards” - that can be translate into “Pinard are deadbeats“.
We are stoked to see the teaser and looking forward to the movie, as Pull Up and the guys have been traveling a bit around Europe to film video reports for SnowBroader and always took the opportunity to shred and bring back some footage for their movie.
Check out some of the cool videos, Pinard produced for us this winter like the Hintertux Park Opening, the BEO, a couple of Burton AM Tour stops or the Absolut Spring Battle!
Their teaser is of course pure Pinard style: a 3 minutes summary of a winter season spent drinking, partying, riding, drinking, filming, road tripping, and yeah, drinking! Prost!
Two epic events took place last week-end: the LongBoard Classic in Stuben, Austria and the Fluo Flash Fun in Les Diablerets, Switzerland.
The LBC is a well established event that celebrated it’s 10th anniversary this year. It’s a great get together of legends that are at the foundation of snowboarding such as Shaun Farmer, Chuck Barfoot, Terry Kidwell, but also of hundreds of passionate riders who come to celebrate snowboarding the old-school way with a bonzai race.
At the opposite, the Fluo Flash Fun is an insane end of season event that brings together a bunch of happy shredders from the Suisse Romande region, who wear neon proudly, are stoked on riding their older brothers or parents monoskis and old-school snowboards, and have a blast stomping suitcases and cross-rockets on a tiny kicker!
Two events and two ways to celebrate snowboarding the best way possible!

This winter our crew will be traveling around Europe to cover some major stops of the Burton AM Tour! This is were the next generation is sharpening their contest skills and be sure that the winners of the Burton AM are the future big stars of snowboarding! It’s really a good opportunity for them to show what they are capable of specially when the overall winner gets invited to the Burton European Open 2010. Take young Tim-Kevin Ravnjak from Slovenia for example. He is literally blowing up the opposition with insane runs out of his huge repertoire…at only 12 years old!
For the first stop in 2009, the Burton AM Tour was in the epic resort of Flachauwinkl. Well it was a nice event, the weather was perfect even if the day before it was completely stormy. The organization crew worked so hard that the event was perfectly on time for the 50 snowboarders, girls and boys, who came to ride hard. The BEO celebrated it’s 10th anniversary this year and it was a spectacular contest, with crazy riding and partying!
Pull Up and Hip Hop from Pinard spend one week for SnowBroader in Laax. They had to take pics and film some footage of the contest but I heard that they mostly partied hard ending up doing naked power slides on the icy snow with Drew Stevenson at 4am.
Still they managed to come back with some pretty sick footage! Here is their 5 minute video summing up a full week of riding and partying. Check it out, it also features a cool little interview with half pipe winner Kevin Pearce. Thanks to the BEO organisation and Laax for putting together such a great event in Europe. The Slope Style and Half Pipe were massive, perfectly shaped and allowed the riders to really express themselves. All the Parties and concerts were awesome, with lots of free booze Sick to get to see Stereo Total and The Streets! It was a perfect birthday celebration and our crew was stoked to be there!
The Champs Open by Rip Curl will take place in Crans Montana from 4 to 8 february 2009. Before this 5 star TTR event begins, the Champs Open crew will organize 2 qualification sessions. The Rip Curl rail session by Renault in Modena (Italy) - last week-end - and the Rip Curl Flon City rail session in Lausanne (Switzerland) the 13th of december.
So last week-end during the big freestyle meeting at Skipass Modena the first event went off. Amongst the 80 participating riders there was a strong Italian presence but also some good international riders. The French snowboarder Victor Delerue charmed the judges and won a place in the Semi Finals at the Crans-Montana CHAMPS Open that will take place in Switzerland next February.
Well dude it’s like this… the opening of the park in Hintertux by Hotzone.tv was such a cool event!
We were lucky to have good snow conditions, 70cm of fresh snow at the top of the glacier, but only one day of sun.
Anyway it was enough for the present riders to stomp sick tricks. Wolle Nyvelt, Marco Feichtner, Friedl Kolar, Marco Grilc and many other were there to hit the kickers. Most of the biggest snowboard brands were also there to let everyone test their new material for free.
What about the fun? Can a snowboard event be cool without a party? NO WAY!
The munchiekonsilium crew knows that and so they had organized a big party in Hintertux with the video projection of the new Absinthe production “READY” and also the new promotionnal DVD of the Hotzone Tv team “Well dude it’s like this“. They had also organized an American Gladiators arena to have some fun fights where a lot of cool prizes were given to the winners.
Well we had so much fun in Hintertux so we recommend everyone of you to go there to check this amazing place. Like Malibu would say “SWEEEET“!

Pinard is a young crew but they’ve already got enough footage and souvenirs to showcase their “Revival” on Saturday the 19th of April in Leysin!
The bar “Le Saloon” will host all the little alcoolik family and their friends! The 4 videos from Pinard (Pinard 04, Pinard 05, Pinard Le Renard, Un Hiver Pourri) will be played while DJ PiOtr & IgOr from Romania will bring you back in the 80’s discos!!!
Yeah! Our BrOs Ben & Pull Up from Pinard Production came back from a great week-end at the TTR Spring Battle in the Absolut Park in Flachauwinkl.
And guess what they prepared a perfect video of the event!
The set up of the park was amazing with a huge kicker on the top and then a big step up gap also shaped as a quarter pipe, a very massive wallride and an A-frame box at the bottom. The level was really high, and the vibes were very good. After the cancellation of the contest on saturday because of the bad weather, the competition finally took place on sunday. All was perfect for the competition, amazing blue sky, perfectly shaped park and really motivated riders…
